I have always been against anything linking to cracks or crack info and have deleted user accounts because of it. UAD plugin are great, but you got equivalent in the "normal" VST world, also lot of UAD plugin are from third-party manufacturers, like Softube, Brainworx, Lexicon, Oxford or Antares, so they are available in as regular VST, and some of them are already cracked.Okay, I had been lenient on crack mentions, if it was legitimate (bad) news, and was posted as such.
Other way would be to have your hardware register on the same account as someone who got everything, but that would need some great trust (and I'm not sure at which point it would become suspicious for UAD) So it's technically not impossible, but in reality it seems very complex (and UAD would probably find a new thing after that, which mean that you would have to go to the same kind of process if you want to update, and also probably lose your official account with its associated legit plugins). The only way for UAD plugin to be cracked would be that each interface have some modification.
